Hello Awesome Backers:
I found out this afternoon that there was a bit of delay getting the books out of customs, but they have cleared. The books are on their way to Portland and should be delivered to me sometime next week.
All of you should have gotten your surveys except for those who are paying over time. Those will be sent after your final payment. For those who have filled out your surveys, they will lock on Thursday. About 24 hours (or less) after that happens, Backerkit will send you an email to download any digital items you ordered.
If you missed your survey, go to this link to retrieve it.
I will start signing, bagging, and boarding the variant cover this weekend.
In other news...there are a number of fabulous Kickstarter campaigns you should definitely check out. The first has a little story I wrote in it. :)

AND IN OTHER NEWS...
VARIANT COVERS
They have arrived and look terrific.
STANDARD COVERS
Right now, their ETA into Portland is April 18, then they have to make their way to me. They are still going through customs so that date could change. I'll keep you posted.
METAL BOOKMARKS
They are in production and should be shipped shortly.
SURVEYS
What Backerkit calls their "Smoke Test" (which means 5% of the surveys were sent for quality control) went out last night. If all is good, then the rest will be sent out either Tuesday evening or Wednesday (4/15) morning so be sure to look for it in your Inbox.
MORGANA PENDRAGON ISSUES 3 AND 4
Alden is up to page 20, and I'll probably have more pages coming in soon from the colorist. If you don't know already, the Kickstarter for issues three and four will be in the fall sometime.

Hello Awesome Backers:
The metal covers have arrived and look great.
If you want one, or both of these, a few will be available through your Backerkit survey. I will send out those once I have a delivery date for the books.
The metal bookmarks were delayed a bit as the vendor is busy, but they are in the queue. Variant covers should arrive the week of April 20, and I'm waiting to hear from my freight forwarder on delivery of the standard covers. I suspect the books are in customs now, and how long it takes to clear is unknowable, but hopefully only a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted.
MORGANA PENDRAGON #3 and #4
Alden has turned in eighteen pages of twenty-seven pages for issue three. I am currently doing final rewrites on issue four. Warnia has colored nine pages of issue three. So, we are getting there.
LADY MECHANIKA
For those of you who missed the Lady Mechanika: The Mechanical Menagerie Kickstarter, the first issue of the story I wrote will drop on May 6. Be sure to pre-order from your local comic book stores ASAP (Lunar Distribution. Code 0326IM0240).
More to come. Thank you!

Hello Awesome Backers:
Your digital stretch goals have been sent thru Kickstarter messaging. If you don't receive it, let me know. Kickstarter can be a little glitchy sometimes.
In the meantime, the magnets have arrived and look great.
Everything else is some stage of production, except for the standard covers which are on the boat sailing to the west coast right now. I'm pulling together the Backerkit surveys as well as reviewing Alden's and Warnia's pages for issue three as they come in. Alden is up to page 12 on issue three, and I have a couple more passes to do on issue four before I hand it off to him.

And for you Bruins out there, a colleague and former classmate from UCLA is running a Kickstarter for a short film which you should definitely check out.

- I'm waiting on the proofs from the printers for the variant covers.
DIGITAL STRETCH GOALS
I will be sending out the digital stretch goals through Kickstarter messaging next Friday (3/27) or Saturday (3/28). I will post an update when it is completed.
BACKERKIT SURVEYS
They will be sent when I have a firmer ETA on the books. I like to send them out about two weeks before I start fulfillment to give everyone time to fill them out.
MORGANA PENDRAGON #3 AND #4
Alden has turned in the first nine pages of issue 3, and Warnia is busy coloring them. The script for issue 4 is with the editor. The plan is run a Kickstarter for these last two issues in this story arc in the fall.
And of course, since we are in the middle of the Kickstarter season, I have a couple of campaigns to recommend.
RECOMMENDED KICKSTARTERS
Sansha & Blanco 3 + 4
Some dogs yearn for freedom.
Sansha remembers the days of her life as a stray as the age of Freedom, and nothing will convince her otherwise. She remembers running wild through a mobile home park, where every day was wide open and the world belonged to her and her brother Blanco. She remembers days before the backyard fence and before captivity became their life.
Now she's trapped in a small yard, watching the world move on without her, and what hurts even more is that Blanco seems content to stay.
I love Ray's work. And dogs. So this campaign is a win-win for me.

Walker, artist Marcelo Di Chiara, and colorist Pedro Estouco, with a cover by legendary artist Joe Jusko.
David Walker is one my favorite comic writers, and he introduced me to Alden Kaye, the current artist for Morgana Pendragon.
